FI-500 FiberInspector™ Micro is a portable digital fiber end-face inspection camera launched by Fluke Networks, designed to solve the #1 failure root cause of fiber systems: contaminated, scratched or cracked fiber connector end faces. It matches perfectly with SimpliFiber® Pro optical loss test kits, forming a complete fiber acceptance workflow: end-face cleaning inspection → loss certification testing.

Built-in autofocus AF function, sharp clear fiber end-face image captured within 2 seconds; one-touch freeze button to lock images for long-time observation in hard-to-reach narrow cabinet spaces. 320×240 high-resolution color LCD screen, supports 1×/2×/4× multi-level digital zoom for magnified viewing of tiny dirt, scratches, pits and cracks on single-mode/multimode ferrule surfaces. Exclusive PortBright™ side flashlight illuminates dark wiring closets and high-density patch panels to quickly locate target ports without auxiliary lighting.

Interchangeable Inspection Tips (Standard & Optional)

Standard kit includes 4 universal UPC probe tips: 1.25mm (LC), 2.50mm (SC/ST/FC), LC bulkhead, SC bulkhead, covering all mainstream straight plug fiber connectors. Optional APC angled tips, MPO multi-fiber tips and extended bulkhead adapters for special PON, CATV and data center high-density applications. Short slim probe head fits cramped recessed panel ports impossible to observe with traditional handheld magnifiers.

Hardware & Power Design

Rechargeable lithium battery built inside main unit, continuous operation up to 2 hours; supports DC power adapter continuous mains power supply for all-day engineering acceptance. Shock-resistant rugged plastic housing passes 1m free drop test, compliant with IEC 61010 industrial safety standard. Compatible with Fluke MS2-MAG-KIT magnetic strap for hands-free magnetic mounting on iron network cabinets. All captured images can be stored locally for later review or on-site archiving.
