The Asterion DC series is AMETEK Sorensen’s latest digital DSP touchscreen DC power platform, successor to legacy DLM/DCS families, offered in Fixed-Range (FR) economical variants and high-value Autoranging (AR) models. Power tiers: 1.7 kW / 3.4 kW / 5 kW (1U rack height), 10 kW (2U rack height), voltage range 40 V ~ 600 V, max output current up to 250 A.

The flagship Autoranging (AR) design delivers full rated power across the entire V-I operating envelope: available current rises proportionally as voltage drops, eliminating the need for multiple power supplies to cover mixed high/low voltage test matrices. Fixed-Range FR models feature traditional rectangular V-I boundaries for cost-effective single-condition production burn-in.
