The Fluke 6500-2 is a professional portable appliance safety PAT tester from Fluke, designed for handheld periodic inspection of portable electrical equipment in offices, factories, medical facilities and retail premises. It delivers one-touch full safety testing and complies with international standards EN 50678, EN 61557 and IEC61010.

Lightweight at only 3.13 kg with an integrated carrying handle, the unit features an IP40 dust-resistant enclosure. It is equipped with a large backlit graphic display and a built-in full QWERTY keyboard for fast entry of asset IDs and location codes. Separate mains socket and dedicated IEC lead test port plus detachable test probes simplify on-site maintenance.

It integrates six core test functions: protective earth resistance, insulation resistance, touch leakage current, substitute leakage current, bond withstand voltage and RCD trip time test. Multiple pre-programmed auto-test sequences are onboard, with fully customizable PASS/FAIL limit thresholds. Large internal memory works with USB storage and the matching TruTest PC data management software for record backup, report generation and asset log management, ideal for periodic safety audits, factory outgoing inspection and third-party compliance acceptance.

Offline USB data storage and on-site location coding are supported. The tester automatically judges PASS/FAIL with clear visual indication after each test, lowering operational complexity for lab, production line and field inspection scenarios.
