The Fluke 9040 portable phase rotation indicator is engineered for phase sequence verification of three-phase power supply systems, inverters, motor drives and industrial control cabinets, enabling fast identification of clockwise or counter-clockwise phase sequence to prevent motor reverse rotation and equipment faults.

This unit requires no internal battery and draws power directly from the circuit under test. It covers an AC voltage range of 40 V to 690 V and frequency bandwidth from 15 Hz to 400 Hz, compatible with standard 50/60 Hz mains power as well as PWM waveform testing on SiC/GaN inverters and high-frequency variable frequency motors.
