The Fluke 28 II Ex is an intrinsically safe industrial multimeter engineered for explosive hazardous classified zones, fully certified to global ATEX, IECEx and mining safety standards. It enables safe electrical testing in Zone 1 / Zone 2 environments with flammable gas, vapor and dust in chemical, petrochemical, gas, pharmaceutical and mining sites without ignition hazard.

Built around a high-resolution 19,999-count True-RMS measurement core with industry-leading basic DC voltage accuracy of ±0.05 %, it features a dedicated VFD low-pass filter to suppress high-frequency EMI noise and deliver stable readings on distorted PWM waveforms from variable-frequency drives and motors. Integrated functions include 250 μs fast transient peak capture, Min/Max/Avg trend logging, K-type thermocouple temperature measurement, duty cycle and conductance testing.
