Recently, Rohde & Schwarz (hereinafter referred to as "R&S") and Shenzhen Guangyuan Communication Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guangyuan Communication") jointly announced that, based on the national standard GB/T 45086.1-2024 Technical Requirements and Test Methods for In-vehicle Positioning Systems Part 1: Satellite Positioning (hereinafter referred to as the "national standard for in-vehicle satellite positioning"), they have completed the verification testing of the specified use cases.

Through R&S's advanced fully automated test solution, compliance verification was conducted on Guangyuan Communication's automotive communication modules (AN960, AN758, etc.) and smart cockpit modules (AN782S/AN762S, etc.). The DUTs fully meet national standard requirements, providing technical support for intelligent connected vehicles. The success of this test demonstrates not only Guangyuan Communication's technical strength in the field of automotive GNSS positioning testing, but also the professionalism of R&S's testing instruments and solutions. Through close cooperation, both parties are jointly advancing the standardization process of in-vehicle positioning technology, providing authoritative technical evaluation benchmarks for the industry, and promoting the high-quality development of intelligent connected vehicles.

With the gradual development of intelligent connected vehicles and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), as an airborne radio navigation and positioning system that provides all-weather 3D coordinates, velocity, and time information, provides absolute position information for vehicles, meeting important applications such as vehicle positioning, navigation, monitoring and dispatch, and emergency response. Therefore, the China Automotive Standardization Technical Committee formulated and released GB/T 45086.1-2024 Technical Requirements and Test Methods for In-vehicle Positioning Systems Part 1: Satellite Navigation. As a core member of this standard, R&S participated in its drafting and verification throughout the entire process. This standard is referenced by the mandatory standard GB 45672-2025 In-Vehicle Emergency Call System and the recommended standard GB/T 32960-2025 Technical Specifications for Remote Service and Management System for Electric Vehicles, becoming the basic admittance standard for pre-installed GNSS components in vehicles.

The GB/T 45086.1-2024 standard mainly specifies the technical requirements and test methods for in-vehicle positioning components, divided into two parts: the test includes functionality, performance, robustness, RF signal coordination, and automotive-grade requirements. Compared to other navigation standards, this standard adds test cases from different dimensions. GNSS multi-mode, multi-frequency requires quad-mode and Beidou with at least dual-frequency, as well as Beidou prioritization and single-frequency capability; RF signal coordination testing requires RF signal coordination test capability, with its Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) meeting additional requirements; time-sensitive performance testing (such as support for) requires the use of an oscilloscope to complete receiver 1PPS testing; robustness testing requires the receiver to be capable of handling special events in the satellite navigation system. R&S provides a complete test solution based on navigation signal simulators and oscilloscopes. This solution also possesses scalability, facilitating users to conduct tests such as emergency calls, navigation interference/spoofing, and electromagnetic compatibility. Currently, this solution has served mainstream chip manufacturers, component manufacturers, OEMs, and testing institutions, and can smoothly transition to related testing for GB 45672-2025 In-Vehicle Emergency Call System.
