With the rapid growth of China’s intelligent connected vehicle fleet, the development of national automotive safety standards, the need to reduce casualties in the industry, and the combined driving force of communication and navigation technologies, emergency calling has become an indispensable active‑passive integrated safety technology, safeguarding lives in severe accident rescue and emergency situations. Therefore, the China Automotive Standardization Technical Committee has formulated and issued the GB45672-2025 AECS standard, which is mandatory and a key market access threshold for China. R&S, Yuanyang, and Huihan, as core members of the standard, participated in the drafting and validation of the standard throughout the process.
The GB45672-2025 standard imposes comprehensive test requirements on the in‑vehicle emergency call system, covering vehicle‑level and component‑level tests, including general requirements, location information requirements, network connection requirements, trigger requirements, information and functional requirements, hands‑free call performance requirements, impact resistance requirements, and electromagnetic compatibility requirements. Most of these requirements require functional verification of the Minimum Set of Data (MSD) and emergency call voice call during and/or after testing. In addition, the standard defines three types of abnormal scenarios for MSD and voice under general requirements, which imposes stricter demands on OEMs and Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers.
Rohde & Schwarz, as a globally leading communications technology provider, has extensive experience and technical accumulation in the emergency call field. Its solution includes the GNSS simulator SMBV100B, the wireless communication test instrument CMX500, and PSAP/TPSP simulation software, and is widely used by certification labs, vehicle manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers, Tier 2 suppliers, and chip suppliers.
Yuanyang is a leading domestic AECS emergency rescue call service provider, a drafting unit of the AECS mandatory standard, and a nationwide service platform. With 16 years of rich service operation experience, Yuanyang can provide automotive OEMs with compliant emergency call platform support during the implementation of the AECS mandatory standard.
Huihan has deep expertise in the in‑vehicle emergency call field. In the global market, Huihan’s products have obtained certification for relevant standards in many regions and countries, including the EU and the UAE, and have achieved mass production. Huihan has also completed technical research, solution optimization, and preliminary debugging for international AECS ahead of schedule.
Through this collaboration, R&S, Yuanyang, and Huihan have successfully verified that the AECS end‑to‑end test system fully complies with international requirements. The test used the integrated AECS test solution comprising the GNSS simulator SMBV100B and the CMX500 wireless communication tester to simultaneously verify voice and data transmission functions. This rigorous test employed a mainstream domestic T‑box and simulated a mainstream domestic Third‑Party Service Provider (TPSP), thoroughly verifying the system’s compliance with AECS and its conformance to real‑world application scenarios on both ends. The test platform will continue to evolve and expand, ensuring that the solution possesses technical extensibility for AECS to meet mainstream domestic requirements.
